God is in control. He determines or allows the rulers of all the nations. The Old Testament is full of examples of the Jews getting a good king, flourishing as a People and nation, turning their backs on God, them falling as a nation, often into captivity, their eventual repentance and the cycle starting all over again.
Samson was anointed or ordained by God even prior to his birth. Notice the similarities to the birth if Yahushua Hamashiach, the Christ child.
Judges 13:1-5Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
1 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
3 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
5for, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
Notice that Israel had abandoned God to the point He had allowed them to fall into captivity for 40 years. Upon their repentance, He raised up a leader to take them out of the hands of the conquering Philistines.
Samson was far less than the perfect “man of God” one might expect to be that leader. He even had to be made blind in the natural so he could “see” in the spiritual. Once he got the vision of what God wanted him to do, he went about the task, though it cost him his very life. This was long before God had allowed Israel to have a king, but He raised up Judges to lead His people.
Later, God allowed Israel to have a king. Saul was the first, but by all accounts, David was the best and greatest ever. A close second would be his son Solomon. Over the years, Israel had several good kings and several not so good ones. But all were made king at the discretion of the Lord. He would allow Israel to have the leader they deserved. Sort of like America today. Do you think for a moment that our America’s faltering over the last quarter of a century is not directly tied to us turning away from God as a nation and committing unthinkable sins as a nation? America was founded on God’s Word and Judeo/Christian principles, no matter the lies Satan tries to tell you. For us to forget our first love and fall away because we have “outgrown” God is selfish ego at its worst. God will not be mocked.
1 Samuel 16 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
1 And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Beth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord.
3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.
4 And Samuel did that which the Lord spake, and came to Beth-lehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this.
9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this.
10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these.
11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
As a young boy, David is anointed by God to be the leader and King of Israel. God gave him victory after victory as a shepherd boy eventually allowing him to be victorious over Goliath and the Philistines. Later he would lead in many military battle. But David too was not without his warts. David is a testimony to God’s grace and mercy. It is our duty to submit to the authority God has allowed to be over us.
Romans 13:1, 5-10 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.
6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
We are leaving one of the darkest periods in American history. The spirit of lawlessness, corruption, fraud and deceit has been perpetrated on our nation as never before. We ca only hope this is the beginning of our return to Godly principles.,
John 19:10-11Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
10 Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee?
11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
Daniel 2:20-22 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
20 Daniel answered and said,
Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever:
for wisdom and might are his:
21 and he changeth the times and the seasons:
he removeth kings, and setteth up kings:
he giveth wisdom unto the wise,
and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22 he revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him.
May God bless Mr. Trump and keep him safe from those that want to harm him. May God watch over this great nation as we attempt to turn from our wicked, sinful ways and return to you as our Lord and our God. We ask you guidance and direction in turning America back to the nation you would have us to be.
God Bless America, Again….
