Are You Ready For Judgment?

Matthew 10:11 “And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.”

12 “And when ye come into an house, salute it.”

13 “And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.”

14 “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”

15 “Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.”

2 Thessalonians 2:6-10 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

6 And now you know what is restraining him [from being revealed at this time]; it is so that he may be manifested (revealed) in his own [appointed] time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world, [but it is] restrained only until [a]he who restrains is taken out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming.

9 The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels—[all of them] lying wonders—

10 And by unlimited seduction to evil and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing (going to perdition) because they did not welcome the Truth but refused to love it that they might be saved.

We have to understand that as a society, we have laws and we have to have certain individuals and institutions to support, uphold and enforce those laws. In many cities, there are parts of the city the police will not go into unless they go in force and there is a dramatic reason. Within the boundaries of that area, lawless abounds because the police have been run out. Those that maintain law and order are no longer in charge in that small section and because of that, lawless abounds.

The same was true in Sodom and Gomorrah. Sin abounded in that city because there were no righteous people in that city. The one that holds Sin at bay is God, his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit dwells in each believer. Some are Spirit filled, Spirit led and others just allow Him to be a tenant there with little or no effect on their lives.

Sodom and Gomorrah was abounding in the Godless practice of homosexuality. I know, that is a touchy subject but all you have to do is read what God said about the subject and apply it to your life. No magic about that, you don’t need a crystal ball or a PhD to analyze those words. Here is a link to help you see what God said, not what man is saying. What the Bible says about homosexuality. If you continue to have problems with what it says, I can put you in touch with the author.

By approving homosexuality, by displaying the colors on the Nations Capitol for the first time, we have elevated the Sin of Homosexuality to the level of the Sin of Abortion. These two sins are as bad as you can get. At least in Sodom and Gomorrah, they weren’t killing their babies to cover up other sins, at least as far as we know.

Lot was living in Sodom and Gomorrah. In Genesis 19, we find the account of what happened when God was finished with them. Lot was of no consequence to the city. He was there because of the lights and action, not as one full of the Spirit wanting to change things. He was going along to get along. Then God sent two messengers. I am sure those were Angels that looked like men, but that isn’t divulged for certain. And the perverts of the city even wanted those to come out and ‘play’. Lot almost got caught up in the wrongdoing but was saved by those two men, then God said ‘Get out of there. Go to a safe place, don’t look back.’ And when Lot and his family were removed, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Lot’s wife looked back, longing for the time in the city, and she was turned into a pillar of salt, because God told them not to look back.

Now we come to today, in America. The liberals have done everything they can to drive God out of this nation. When you turn out the light in a room, darkness overwhelms it. The same is true in the Spiritual realm. You get rid of God, Satan and Sin will abound. But as long as there Church of Believers is here, it can’t completely consume the land. Only if all Christians are removed can Sin completely take over.

That day is coming. If you have even a basic understanding of the 2nd Coming of Chirst, you must realize there are 2 discinct events at the end of the earth. One is the physical 2nd coming. That comes at the very end of the Tribulation and is when Christ comes back to earth, splits the Mount of Olives and destroys all the enemies of Israel.

Prior to that is an event similar to what happened to Lot. It is also depicted in 1 Samuel 15 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

1 Samuel told Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people Israel. Now listen and heed the words of the Lord.

2 Thus says the Lord of hosts, I have considered and will punish what Amalek did to Israel, how he set himself against him in the way when [Israel] came out of Egypt.

3 Now go and smite Amalek and utterly destroy all they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

4 So Saul assembled the men and numbered them at Telaim—200,000 men on foot and 10,000 men of Judah.

5 And Saul came to the city of Amalek and laid wait in the valley.

6 Saul warned the Kenites, Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them; for you showed kindness to all the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

7 Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt.

The Kennites are a picture of the Believers. The got to leave before the destruction began. The destruction was sure, swift and complete, just as it was with Sodom and Gomorrah. The difference is, God use King Saul and the Israelite army instead of raining down fire and brimstone. The how is not important, the why is. And the why is all based on being an enemy of God. If you are in Sin without his Son as your Saviour, you are an enemy of God, you are opposed to him. If you have Christ as your Saviour, you are not. It is really that simple. And once you have accepted Christ as Lord, He will tell you like he told the prostitute the Scribes and Pharisees were about to stone, ‘Go on your way, quit sinning. Don’t do that anymore’. And that is what Christ tells us all as all of us sinners have turned to Him as Lord and Saviour. Then the Holy Spirit will reside in you.

Soon, those that have the Holy Spirit in them, will be taken out of the way. Taken to a safe place. 1 Thess 4:17-18

1 Thessalonians 4:17-18Amplified Bible, Classic Edition

17 Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!

18 Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.

Then the 7 year tribulation will begin, the one who is the actual AntiChrist will be revealed and the clock is ticking until Christ comes back to earth. The amazing thing is that God hasn’t taken the Church out already and washed His hands of those that choose to violently and vehemently oppose Him. I guess it is a really good thing I am not God. I will be me and let God be Him. That always works best anyway.

May you find these words comforting and encouraging. If you don’t check and see for yourself. If you are not ready to look the Tribulation in the face and live through 7 years of hell on earth like the world has never seen before, maybe you ought to find Jesus. Maybe you ought to think about giving your life to Him. If you are ready to be ‘snatched away’ and spend eternity in that home he has built for you and me, then share this with someone that isn’t.

Matthew 10:15 “Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.”
