Now Faith is…

You hear people say that they have faith. Or ‘I believe I will go to town….’ or hear something and say ‘that is hard to believe’ or ‘I don’t believe that’. Faith comes from the word Pisteuo in the Greek. That word translates ‘I believe’… it is a verb. The verb is a Present Indicative Active. I believe.. is active.. like ‘I run’ or ‘I throw’. Unrealeased faith is head knowledge only and not heart knowledge. YOU MUST release your faith for it to have any value. David was a young boy, until he released that stone.. releasing his faith… At that moment he became what God wanted him to be.

James said:

Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Jas 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

Fredreich Neitzsche told the world “God is Dead’…. and the Atheists and the liberal theologians have taken that to men ‘I have killed God’. The entire quote is closer to this..

‘God is Dead because I don’t see him in you’. He was taking to the Christians of the day.

“Nietzsche’s works express a fear that the decline of religion, the rise of atheism, and the abscense of a higher moral authority would plunge the world into chaos. The western world had depended on the rule of God for thousands of years — it gave order to society and meaning to life. Without it, Nietzsche writes, society will move into an age of nihilism. Although Nietzsche may have been considered a nihilist by definition, he was critical of it and warned that accepting nihilism would be dangerous.”

What James was saying.. as in a sense was Neitzsche, was that if you have real faith, your corresponding works will be seen by all. Your life should be a testament to what God is and has done in your life. Those works depend on faith to be effective and properly carried out. Faith without works is dead, but works without Faith is fruitless and useless. Our deeds on this Earth is how God is seen by others. Without Faith, God cannot be praises, worshipped, adored, trusted…..

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Take the circus for example. I remember as a little boy, our class at school went to the circus. I was probably in 3rd or 4th grade. I remember, the vendors, the barkers, and most of the acts.. the clowns, the wild animals, elepants, horses, the cannon shot a guy out.. and on and on.. and then there was the trapeze artists.. they pranced around in their tights.. they even participated as helpers in some of the other acts, but then it came time to go up the pole and get on that bar with the swing in front of them.. there were actually two swings.. one had the ‘catch’ man.. the other the ‘artist’ went on. Now, these folks looked like trapeze artists when they were on the ground, even when they went up the poles.. they especially looked that way when they went on their swing.. timing their swing to match up with the catch man…. but at this point.. they were not true trapeze artists.. then they released their swing, did their act, did their flips.. and came down into the grasp of the catch man. When they released their swing, they became the artist they were claiming to be, not before. Up until that time, they were just another Circus employee…

It is that way with our Faith. It is only head knowledge until we release it and cause it to act. As David had the 5 stones, he was not able to slay Goliath until he released his faith…. released a stone in the direction of his enemy. When you release your faith, you can perform the acts God has for you to do. God will work in your behalf to do the things that seem impossible. Remember, ALL things are possible to him who believes (has real faith). Release your faith and receive your blessing, all of it.. God wants to bless you spiritually, physically and financially.. evey aspect of your life. All you have to do is release your faith …

Romans 10:17 (KJV)

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Hearing continually, hearing and keeping on hearing. Hearing and never stop hearing…

Hebrews 11:1 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

If you had a car you wanted to sell, you would get just what someone was willing to pay for it that you were willing to accept. Now, you must, of course, have the car. But you also must have the TITLE DEED. Without the Title, the car is worthless. Same with your house. If you had a ranch with a million acres, it is worthess without the TITLE DEED. With that title deed, you can go to the bank and secure a loan.. you don’t need to bring your car or your million acres to the bank. All they require is the paper, the TITLE DEED. To them, that is ALL that has value.

Faith is our TITLE DEED. It assures us that we have everything God wants us to have, everything He wants to bless us with. Faith can get you saved. Faith can get you filled with the Spirit. Faith can get you healed. Faith can get your bills paid. God wants to do exceedingly above all we can ask or think.

Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd and I SHALL NOT WANT………

This study Is excellent. I need to study this and meditate on it. It has to become heart knowledge before it becomes part of me.
